Closed loop
The plastic comes back
Everything we manufacture can be returned to us for recycling at the end of its useful commercial life with the guarantee that it will be recycled and the plastic will be reused in one of our many product lines.
Every container we mould is 100% recyclable. Recycled products last just as long as ones made of virgin plastic.
What happens to a container
- 01
In service
The container runs harvests, deliveries or collection routes for as long as it holds up. It washes easily with water from 0°C to 100°C and stacks stably.
- 02
Returns
Containers come back to the plant rather than to a landfill.
- 03
Regrind
Mechanical recycling, or chop-and-wash. Returned plastic is chopped and washed, then fed back into production as regrind.
- 04
Back on the line
Regrind goes into new parts on the same ten lines.
Why it holds together
A take-back only works if the thing coming back is plastic the plant already runs. We mould polyethylene and polypropylene, materials we widely use, so a returned crate, tray, lug or bin is feedstock rather than a sorting problem.
Thermoplastic resins such as polyethylene and polypropylene are capable of being melted multiple times and formed into new parts each time. The same plastic serves the next order.
The Return & Recycle Program rewards both new and existing customers with financial savings. Your containers come with their end-of-life route built in.
We have been manufacturing since 1976. Returns come back to us at our head office, 6969 Shirley Avenue in Burnaby, British Columbia.
Bring containers back to the plant, or ask about a return arrangement when you quote.
